There are two regional express services leaving from different stations in Bratislava - one from Bratislava Hlavná stanica (Main station) via Marchegg and the other from Bratislava Petržalka station via Kittsee - each operating in hourly intervals, with first daily service leaving around 5am and the last train leaving around 10:30pm. Both services terminate at Wien Hauptbahnhof in Vienna. Tickets are valid for both routes. A return ticket called EURegiopurchased in Vienna costs €15, is valid for two weeks and also allows use of all public transportation in town on the first day of validity.

Station Construction until 2015

Until 2010 Vienna had several large train stations (Südbahnhof, Westbahnhof, Nord, Mitte). Currently Südbahnhof (South Station) has been closed for construction of a main station and the others are working but under construction. Many trains that used South Station now stop or terminate at the station Wien Meidling. Be sure to check schedules and it is advised to take extra time when departing from these stations as the temporary provisions are not always easy to navigate.
