HK airport

With an exciting mood😀, I wake up at 5:50⏰, after washing up, riding my electric bike to the bus terminal, to take the first morning bus to HK airport (🚌bus departed at 7AM. After 2.5 hours, bus arrives at Shenzhen Wan Terminal, where I change to a small van to HK airport. After I check in the custom, the van takes around 30 minutes. So I arrive at HK airport at around 10 AM. Alfred’s flight is delayed😂. The flight🛬 landed at 10:55, and the whole process of taking off, waiting for custom and picking up his luggage, totally takes around 1hour. So he finally comes out from arrival hall Gate B at 11:55AM. 😊

It’s very excited to see my good old pal again🤪, since our last trip in GZ and Philippines in 2017. It’s been 6 years! (When we meet, I can’t hardly hold my emotions, that is very special feeling indeed.) We then go to the train🚄 ticket counter to buy ticket to HK city center, but there are many people waiting inline. So we move to the ticketing machine to buy tickets through E payments. After we get the ticket, we rush to the train. The timing is just exactly good, cause when we just take the seats, the train starts. During the train ride, we chat and talk, and Alfred seems a little worry about his luggage cause he puts his luggage near the train entrance, he keeps looking to the entrance, hahaha.

It takes about 40 minutes to arrive at the station of Kowloon. From there, we look for bus that takes to the hotel (Prince Hotel)🏰. The bus, in Alfred's eyes, is quiet old and small, pretty much like those in the 1990s. Anyway, it takes another 30 minutes to the hotel. When we arrive at hotel, it's around 2PM, still can't check in hotel (hotel check in at 3PM). So we register first and put our luggage in the hotel, then we go out for lunch. As we are looking for food, we see a Baleno shop, which sells Micky🐹 Mice T shirt. Alfred says cynthina is crazy about Micky, but after looking around in the shop, he hasn't place order yet, he hopes to see more clothes alike later. We walk along Nathan Road, finanlly come to the restaurant where I eat last time. The name is 弥敦冰室. There the shop owner is from Wenchang, Hainan, which is my hometown. So all the staffs there can speak Hainanese. So I order our lunch with one of the ShuShu Uncle that served me before. After he knows I am from Wenchang, he quickly offers me with free bakut soup. It's so delight. As we know, living cost in HK is much higer than many parts of the world, food price is as well. So we didn't order much, just simple lunch served with rice and meat.

Anyway, we finish our lunch, and we wanna take a little walk. As we are walking, we see there is a money changer. Alfred wants to change his yellow USD💰 into HKD, cause he tried to exchange in jakarta, but the shop didn't want to change because of the yellow colour. So he gives a shot. After he checks the rate, which is HKD 760=USD 100, he takes out a banknote marked 100. The owner receives the banknote, at first, she seems a little bit curious about the banknote, she might think why the colour is a liitle bit diffrent. But after she checks and checks again, she finally opens the money drawer, and gives Alfred 760 HKD in return. Alfred is delight to take the HKD banknote and quickly puts into his wallet and walk away, just incase the money changer owner may find something wrong about his USD. hahaha...

After a few minutes walk, we feel tired and go back to hotel for check in and rest. The hotel, in Alfred's term, it is the prince, we are the slaves🙈. As we are in the hotel room, Alfred open his luggage, and takes out many things that he brings for me. There two beatiful towls from Mama from Bankok, a notebook and a handbag from Alfred from Bankok. They all look very delicate. And there are some snacks Alfred bring for me. And finally, he takes out two red Angpao, one is from mama, one is from him, even though I say I can't take that Angpao, he insists that I take them, as they are blessing gifts🎁 for my coming up weding. So many thanks to Alfred and Mama, for their good wishes.

At round 5PM, we walk out again from hotel, heading to Star Avenue. Since the way is a liitle long, so we take a double layer bus🚌, climb to the second floor, take the front seat and enjoy our ride until our destination-the Star Way. There are many hand print of the Stars in the Star Way. Some of them are popular because of their movies, some of them we don't know yet. For example, Jacky Chen, Bruce Lee ...Me the same. I shot some nice photos for Alfred along the Star Way, and I borrow my cool sunglass for him, to make him look even cooler in the photos.

Then we go to the Star Ferry⛵️, to take the boat to go to other side of the city. But there are many people lining up, only to buy the boat ticket from the ticketing machine which is old and slow functioning. I already have this experience, so I let Alfred wait in the que, I move to other side to buy tickets. And i quickly get the ticket, and run abck to where Alfred is queing, and take him directly to the boading entrance (I am so smart, hiahiahia). The boat tour is only about 15 minutes. So we reach the other side of the city, which is The Central.

As we see there are many people lining up for the city tour view bus, we wanna take the bus too. As we see closer, the bus is only free on July, 7 that day. So we leave and go to find DingDing Tram🚠. After a very long walk on the sky bridge, we find the tram finally. Before we board the Tram, we see that the price for each person is 3 HKD, but I only have 5 in HKD. Alfred has an idea, why not use 1 RMB together with the 5 HKD, because the RMB rate is higer than HKD. So I listen to him, and do as what he suggested. His idea is really working! (What a clever boy!)

As we get off the Tram, it's time for dinner. So we walk across the unknow alleys and roads, finnaly come to place where serves porrige and noodles. When we are done of eating, I try to pay with Alipay, the cashier told me they only accept cash. That is the first store of the day that doesn't accepet Alipay. So then we walk back to the Ferry and come back to Star way. Alfred is thirsty, so he buys two bottle of water from an Ama. The big bottle of water is 13, and he buys 2. After that we find the bus to our hotel. As we get off the bus, we see there is a night market (Temple street market). People are selling stuffs. We come to a vender which is owned by an old Akong. The water he sells is only 6 HKD per big bottle, which is half the price of the Ama in the Ferry.Hahaha, Alfred's heart is crying...So he buys another 2 bottles of water there, and carry all of them back to the hotel.

When we back to hotel, both of us are tired and sleepy. So after shower, we quickly come to bed. Zzz...😴😴😴
