We had dinner here last night. The ambiance was lovely. It really brings you back to old school Atlanta. We loved the old front porch sipping lemonade feel of the place. But that was the best part of the whole meal. Service was extremely slow. At times we weren't even sure if he was still in the building. The food was okay. We all had the world famous fried chicken and/or ribs. All entrees came with the sideboard salad bar. The chicken was okay, kind of bland and not crispy like you expect from fried chicken. The ribs were great and the bbq sauce was very good. The salad bar looked like it was stocked with vegetables that had been around awhile. The corn bread and homemade biscuits were very good. Deserts, bread pudding was very good. The chocolate cake, which was supposed to come with ice cream, did not, but the cake itself was okay. The peach cobbler was okay. It was pretty expensive for the meal over all. For a family of four the total with tip was $185.00. We have eaten in similar types of restaurants for far less.
