...ace so diners do not feel the least bit crowded
We visited on a rainy day in October, 2015. Sage is a short walk from the MoA and was a welcomed break after spending several hours at the MoA. We arrived about 12:45 pm and were left waiting for someone to show us to one of the available tables. Once seated, however, we found the Sage to be a delight. The menu is inventive and features locally-sourced ingredients. My wife and I both enjoyed the warm butternut squash salad served with a a tasty dressing; perfectly accented with a glass of chardonnay. Physically, the restaurant is bright and airy with a floor to ceiling window wall facing the water and mountains (obscured by the rain on our visit). There is a moderate number of tables for the size of the space so diners do not feel the least bit crowded. A nice conclusion to our morning spent on the UBC campus.
