Eggs Benedict with crispy bacon and spinach + 2 coffees. $24. Great location and a calm, uncluttered setting. The wait staff were great, prompt and considerate. But....while the consistency of the eggs was spot on, there had been no vinegar in the poaching water and the acid balance of the hollandaise was well under. The bacon was flaccid and as the spinach had not been wilted, none of the yolk was able to ooze through to the stone cold muffin underneath. Perhaps a blessing. Eggs Benedict is one of those dishes which is not good if it's not great...and this was certainly the case on this occasion. The coffee was really good, especially the second, which came as ordered.
