There are various places in Ulm to get crepes or "pancakes" as we call them in Germany, but as a huge "Pfannkuchen" fan I have pretty high demands... I've always heard about this place and one lucky day I went in. It was very full and I had to wait for other customers to leave before we could sit at a table. They don't make reservations past 5 pm, which is really a minus, but then you just have to be lucky, I usually go there when I get off work late (after 9 pm) and ALWAYS got a table, by avoiding the usual dinner time in Germany. The thing with this restaurant is that they only have 4 bigger tables for a max. of 8 people and about 4 tiny tables with high stools for a max. of two people. But the location itself is also really beautiful, in an old house in the center of Ulm, and it's decoration is really rustic, with old tools hanging from the walls, and unlike any other place in Ulm. But now to the most important part: the crepes at the Kornhäusle have fantastic fillings, and finally, as a vegetarian I found a restaurant with a huge variety of fillings. The vegetables used are super fresh and deliciously seasoned. Also, you have a seasonal changing menu. You can customize your crepe as you wish, changing the ingredients to your choice and there is no problem if you want to share them with someone, let's say, to get a sweet crepe as a dessert and you don't want to eat two entire crepes. They also have a traditional German beverage called Most (must) in many different variations, its slightly sour, fresh and fruity taste goes extremely well with the rich and sophisticated blend of flavors in your crepe. They also have nice soups, but I don't recommend the french onion soup. I love onion soup, but here I've eaten it half cooked, the onions were really raw still and tasted, well, like raw onions. Better go for the seasonal changing soup. Also the service is really nice, and the price is more than good for this absolutely delicious mouth-watering food. If you come to Ul
