Was in the district for other business and ran into Portobello without any expectation. Decor was simple with a hint of an European taste. The restaurant keepers are a couple of Italian gentlemen. Very inviting. Menu was simple; usual Italian fare. Had some house chianti, which was quite drinkable, and actually pleasant. Order a few 'tapas'. $6 or 7 per item, not bad at all. Had their special, which were Snapper dil Giorno and Risoto dil Giorno. Former was pan fried snapper and angel hair in a cheese sauce, while the latter one was a risotto in squid ink. Both were very nice. I think they actually used fish stock in cooking the pasta and risotto. I like the restaurant and their food very much. Will go back.
