The restaurant is located in “China Town” in the center of the city close to the station and the diamond district. The restaurants here are much more authentic than in other neighborhoods in the city. The outside is not very attractive with ducks hanging in the open kitchen at the front. But don’t let yourself be put off. This also reflects in the interior. The ceiling has some Chinese motives but the walls are plain, the tables and chairs are very simple. No fancy furnishing here. People (a lot of local Chinese) do come and go constantly taking away meals. The menu is in Chinese but they have an English and Dutch version. The service is attentive. Very large choice to choose from. We had excellent Lo Pak Ko (radish cake), cow stomach with ginger (the best part of the dinner) and fried squid as appetizer. As main dish beef sechzuan style and chicken with black beans. I would have expected (and preferred) the sechzuan more spicy and less sweet. The house wines are good and come in different volumes. The restrooms are upstairs with a relatively steep staircase. This can be a problem for people with disabilities. The prices are reasonable. Excellent value for money.
