Very intimate, non-tourist restaurant. My wife and I were in Siena for two nights from December 31st to January 2nd for our honeymoon. While walking back to our hotel, Albergo Bernini, we decided to walk down this tiny alley right under the hotel. To our surprise there was a small and busy restaurant tucked under the building. We asked our hotel about it and one of the owners of the hotel said it was owned by one of her sisters and her sisters husband. We quickly booked reservations for the next day as there were only seven tables in the restaurant. This is not a hotel restaurant, its a side venture by one of the owners so don't ignore this place thinking you will get hotel quality food. The food was all local or Italian products. No tourist Italian food, menus the size of novels, or pictures of food on the menu. Just quality Italian food and wine in a great atmosphere. Since it is small, the food is prepared properly just for you with no rush to get it to the table to get you in an out as fast as possible. This restaurant can't be missed, but do make reservations.
