This is an old-fashioned ice cream parlour where the 'glace' , the sorbet' and other dishes are made on the premises by an artisan. It is only 4.50 euros for 2 boules if you are taking it away, but about 7 euros inside for the same ice cream served (with a tuile on top) at your table, waitress service and mint-infused water to accompany the dessert. The flavours we chose were caramel, pistachio and marron (chestnut), but there were also special flavours featured each day. The ice cream itself seemed to contain more natural ingredients than other top quality ice creams in, say, Amorino's, but Amorino's seemed to me to be creamier and less expensive (in those Amorino's when you can sit inside at a table for the same price as the takeaway). A difficult choice between the two establishments, so I guess I shall just have to patronise both. Definitely Bac a Glaces beats them all for ambience.
