Our hotel recommended Settimio though we were nervous having read some reviews about the service. My carpaccio of salt cod was exquisite followed by a good tartare of salon and tuna. My husband's beef with balsamic and pepper corns was the highlight of his trip. Red house wine was very acceptable and we liked that no one tried to sell us extras (except the inevitable bread!). Our older waiter was charming and the young Asian waiter serving the very picky Americans behind us deserved a medal for his patience! Well worth visiting but book ahead and be respectful and try a few Italian phrases. This will stand you in good stead. We'll definitely return.
