We were staying at nearby Relais San Sanino and our tour guide, Giacomo, recommended La Chiusa for lunch. We are glad he did -- La Chiusa is unlike any restaurant we've ever visited. The manager one of the most welcoming and gracious hosts you could ever want. He and the waiters all were professional but genuinely unique characters -- we felt like we'd fallen into a movie. The food was wonderful. we started with a perfect bruschetta. Eating what is in season is the way to go in Tuscany and it was black truffle season, so I had an outstanding black truffle pasta and everyone else in our party loved their food as well. You would do well to eat outside but it was a bit too cool the day we visited, so we ate inside La Chiusa's elegant but warm dining room. Very good selection of wines. Our lunch was what a meal should be -- an experience that involves wonderful food and service, but which is relaxing. Expensive but worth it. Highly recommended.
