Great place on main drag in U district. They make their own regular noodles (unsure about the gluten free ones.) We went several times on a trip and daughter attending school here soon will be going more, I am sure. I was super impressed when I ordered a ramen bowl and asked for the gluten free noodles, but the bowl I picked did not have a gluten free broth. (These are not marked on the menu--they could improve by noting which broth to choose for gluten free.) After ordering, the friendly waitress and the young chef came to check whether the gluten free noodle was a choice or an allergy, because the broth was not gluten free and they had noticed the choice of noodle. Not sure if this was just one particularly thoughtful and intelligent young (female) chef or a restaurant practice. I was so grateful for that because I would have picked the wrong broth (it didn't obviously have soy sauce in it....) In any event, the ginger vegan broth is fine, and they guided me to the ramen bowls with that broth. If they aren't busy they can make you -I would guess- any of the ramen bowls with the ginger broth and the gluten free noodles. They cooked the GF noodles separately, too. My vegetarian companion tried several bowls and loved them all, too. Also nice, hot edaname, and other dishes we didn't try but saw coming out looked fresh and good too. I so appreciated the gluten catch that I tipped a regular 20% on a $25 total bill, and give $5 extra to each the waitress and the chef. :)
