We happened upon this place after a rip off,low quality meal at our hotel. We asked staff if there was anywhere close to walk to and they suggested the short walk (from Radisson Panwa Beach) down to the seafront. Timber Hut was on the corner and staff were welcoming and friendly. We weren't sure whether to order a dish each,or a few to try,so opted for a few. We had shrimp pad Thai, salted pork belly pieces, butter squid (fried crispy), morning glory (stir fried Thai greens with chilli and garlic) plus baked prawns. We also had a couple of beers. The food was plentiful, fresh and tasty and cost us 1100 baht. We went again a couple of days later and had pineapple rice (served in a hollowed out pineapple) with the squid again, but also with fried garlic chicken and a spicy sour prawn and straw mushroom soup. On this occasion we also had 4 delicious cocktails each. 1800 baht. Very reasonable for the amount and quality of food and drink. We returned on our last evening and had another divine meal. Definitely a place to go, for lunch or dinner (found many places were shut at 'lunchtime') and the staff were very attentive.
