I have always enjoyed sugba, tula and to some extent Kilaw or Sutukil for shorter or STK for short. I chanced upon Sutukil food house riding a tricycle from Tagbilaran port to my hotel. Yes! I will try that for sure. And so I went with a companion for dinner. Wrong choice for this STK is giving sugar, tula, kulay restos a bad image simply for two major reasons, taste and price. We ordered tuna tula (fish tinola soup) and tuna belly sugba (grilled). The tola's taste and flavor is decent but way too much water that it looked like a deserted swimming pool. The supposedly Large tuna belly sugar was very small and just good for one. And the taste? It was so sweet not because of the fish freshness when grilled but because of sugar! It tasted more like a chicken teriyaki bbq than tuna sugba. The Price? The amount we paid for a lousy dinner for two was almost the same amount I paid for a sumptuous STK lunch for EIGHT people.
