We came to this restaurant several times when it was The Viking (before it burnt down) and used to enjoy the place. Came back once when the restaurant had been rebuilt. And I can't say that the makeover has done it any good. The decor is nice and the location, as it was before, is interesting. But we booked a table on the terrace which wasn't available when we arrived. Then once we'd accepted a table inside we were served by an arrogant and unfriendly waiter who didn't even seem to know what a gin & tonic was (requested in Russian). He also overcharged us at the end of our meal thinking we wouldn't notice. The food itself is uninspiring and very overpriced (especially the wine list). Other Ginza restaurants are better than this - particularly Terrassa in St Petersburg - which Pontoon could learn a lot from.
