We walked past Rai Rai Tei and decided to go inside because we could see they had a highchair for our toddler. We are very glad we did. This was some of the best food we have had in Japan so far and the service and hospitality was exceptional. Our child was not an issue, they brought out a highchair, plastic water cup and bowls for him. We ordered the gyoza, the Japanese noodle and dumpling soup and a Ramen noodle soup (and a few beers). All our food was on the table within less than 10 minutes. The flavour was amazing and staff showed us how to mix the perfect dipping sauce for the gyoza. Both of the soups were exceptional. I would highly recommend this place when visiting Kyoto. Very friendly service, good value for money and great tasting food.
