We stayed at the Marriott for a week and were keen to dine at the Andaman Grill given it's location so close to the beach. It was a nice setting with friendly but not very experienced staff. We were a party of 5, two of which are vegetarians. Other than salad or the vegetable side dishes, there was nothing else on the menu for them so we asked the waitress. Turns out they do have a vegetarian menu, but with just two entrees to choose from. The food was nice - lamb cooked pink, fresh sea bream pan fried in butter. The veggies dishes were a disappointment - the pasta dish had a very rich sauce and the grilled vegetable were just grilled! No dressing, no seasoning....just a disporportionately large price tag! I have no problem paying high for a good meal, but this was really just an average experience. We ordered a couple of side dishes including the daphinois potatoes, and as both the menu and the waitress failed to mention that the lamb came with daphinois, we ended up with two dishes of it. We did not go back to the Grill, and chose instead to dine at the hotel's Siam Deli on several occassions which provided much better food and service.
