This tiny bakery is on a funky stretch of Main St, in the middle of the block between 4th and 5th Sts. It's immediately next to the only parking garage on that stretch of Main St. Main St. used to be Skid Row, and you still see some street people, but it's coming up fast and this bakery is part of that renaissance. All they serve is cupcakes. They have about eight or ten varieties, all delicious. I'm not a sweets-eater, and I've never cared for cupcakes, but what makes this place one of my favorites is the mini-cupcakes. They come in all the same flavors as the big guys, but are one mouthful each, perfect for me when I want a small amount of something sweet after a meal. I love the choco and the lemon ones. The staff is all very friendly, mostly young women. The owner has posted his bio on the walls, and it's impressive, but it's been a while since I read it so I've forgotten a lot of it. He's done a lot of impressive stuff in his life, and on occasion, we see him hanging out with customers at one of the handful of outdoor tables. We love this place. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 for purely personal reasons: I'm not a fan of sweet stuff, and the menu is VERY limited - cupcakes. That's it. If you want a Danish or a bear-claw or a donut, go somewhere else. But if you want a delicious cupcake, full-sized or mini, this is the place.
