I am sorry to report that, in our experience, this place was a bit of a scam. It took us ages to find, but we hoped it would be worth the trouble since - given its entry in the DK Eyewitness Travel guide - it was supposed to be something special to take back home as a Milanese treat. The lady who served us was downright hostile as if dealing with customers was a nuisance. (I thought this was because neither of us spoke Italian, but having now read carefully the other reviews, I see that Italians are not exempt from this rude attitude.) We mentioned that we would be taking the marrons glacés on a trip and the lady went away at the back of the shop to pack them individually. As a result, the marrons glacés in the box we were presented with were not chosen from amongst those on display. The bill was €65 for a box. When we opened the box we discovered that the chestnuts were not just glazed (glacés) but crystallized and inedible. What a shame!
