Esther's is supposed to be a soul food restaurant but, I beg the difference. It is not a true authentic soul food restaurant. I wasted $22 on some Crappie tasting food. The oxtails didn't have a good flavored taste to them. Also, they were tough and had some type of tomato tasting gravy which was horrible. The liver was overcooked and tough but, I must say it was much more tolerable than the oxtails. The overall presentation of the food was ridiculous, the rice was thrown all over the plate, the gravy from the oxtails wasted all over the bag. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. If someone decides to go to Esther's anyway after reading my review, my advice for that person would be to try the basics foods such as fried chicken, french fries, and maybe shrimp. If someone wants some great tasting oxtails, go to a Jamaican restaurant where they really know how to cook oxtails. This review is by an African America. Thanks for your time. Pam
