Having had no luck with El Chalan, we came here for dinner. Ceviche was not the best but at least it had seasoning and spice (see el chalan). This restaurant had more variety in the menu. The papa a la huancaina was good and I opted for the arroz chaufa which was also good. My wife had the chupe de camarones which was very disappointing. We expected Arequipa style which is creamy and this was definitely not. The waitress suggested the seco de cordero for my Mom which unfortunately we ordered without looking at the menu price--big mistake. The seco was horrible and we were charged $28 for it. Seco should be a kind of stew but the word "seco" literally means dry and this was ridiculously dry. This place is better than El Chalan, but that's not saying much. Be carefull at check out. We were only 3 people and spent over $100 (no drinks either). Their register tape is extremely faded and if you don't look closely, tip is already included in the total. Pretty skeezy if you ask me. Oh by the way, service was EXTREMELY slow.
