Dined here tonight. Good Friday & they were out of mussels, silliest oversight ever Basalt, hopefully you learn from tonight for next year. I could hear at least a dozen people over 3 hours request mussels and get told that there were none. :-( They did have the generic battered fish and chips and the rest of the usual menu. Upsides were that they were open on good Friday, wait staff were great, good was served in good time although the fish was a bit cold. It would be great if you offered a pan fried fish option too. I opted for the dessert platter, it was nice, varied, pretty, definitely suited to 3-4 people as the menu says. Enjoyable overall. Id visit you again but you need an oomph factor to keep people coming back. At present you're just another generic food place in Howick village. To be honest your wait staff are really nice and your main waiter guy did really well multitasking. :-)
