We didn't check the reviews before going to Mpalothies, just walked past it a few times and saw that it was constantly busy with a lot of local custom. The food was great, a short menu but really nicely cooked and feeling genuinely authentic. Meatballs in ouzo, fennel pie, fabulous sardines, courgette fritters and a great salad. With a litre of wine, 2 g and to, for 2, a ridiculous 41euros! But come here for the food not the price. We didn't even bother trying the fancier restaurants on the beach, it was just too good here!
