My partner and I ordered the "oven-roasted chicken and mozzarella tartine (essentially an open-faced sandwich), which is prepared with tomatoes, arugula, tomato salsa and basil oil. Perhaps because of the ingredients, the bread ends up, sadly, a limp, somewhat soggy disappointment. What was more troubling, however, was the stinginess of the chicken allotted to this tartine - I did not expect a full chicken breast, or even half - but three literal slivers of chicken (think of each sliver as about the width and length of a McDonald's french fry) seemed to be the minimum one could place on a slice of bread - I mean, "tartine" - and still have the gall to begin the name of said "tartine" with the word "chicken," as if to imply that the chicken - as opposed to the tomato, for example, of which there was an equal or greater amount - was the defining ingredient in said tartine. All this - three slivers of chicken on a slice of soggy bread, with tomato, basil, etc. for fourteen bucks. Yikes. I had a similar issue with the "oven-roasted chicken Cobb" salad. Perhaps the kitchen had run out of chicken and they hoped we wouldn't notice the paucity - or they simply didn't care. FYI, this was the Capitol Hill location. I can't speak for any of the others as I have never been.
