We have stopped by Rosie's many times for a quick meal or to get take-out. This visit was on a Saturday evening around 6:00 p.m. and I was expecting it to be busier, but the only other customers in there were three firemen waiting for their take-out order. At first glance, the place never looks open, even though it has "open" signs. It looks like a vacant building! You order at the counter and the food is brought out to the table. When we were there, there were three order-takers/facilitators (?) and one cook. We ordered a tri-tip sandwich to share. It would have been nice to have been offered an extra plate. The staff was having a great time visiting with one another and filling their own drink cups. I would have liked for someone to be cleaning tables. The only table available that wasn't blasted by the setting sun (window shades, anyone?) was left dirty by the previous diner(s), but no one cleaned a single table while we were there. Most of their business appears to be take-out. Maybe three or four people came in while we were there to pick up. Their food is always really good. We love the tri-tip sandwich, which comes with au jus and homemade chips ($7). They also offer turkey, chicken, pulled pork and ribs (beef and baby back). You can order family dinners and picnic packs that come with delicious sides. I hated giving Rosie's an average rating, because their food is so good. But the service attitude and cleanliness was really disappointing and an easy fix for a good owner.
