Decent Ramen in midtown where you don't have to wait for hours, and they even let you pick up your ramen for lunch. That is rare, ramen for pick-up. I've tried to do that before at a couple of good ramen places, and got yelled at. Ramen is not for pick-up, you eat it where they make it. But I have to thank them for making my ramen pick-up fantasy possible. Now, on to the food. I got their signature tabata ramen - coconut milk based soup with spicy chicken stew, onions and cilantro. The soup was flavorful enough and the ramen and egg were delicious too. My only gripe is that the soup didn't really taste like a fatty flavorful natural broth that I am used to at my favorite Ramen places in the city (Ippudo, totto ramen, hide-chan etc). There was some artificial msg filled taste to it. Maybe that's the price I have to pay when I don't have to wait for hours to be seated. I might give it another try and order another dish on a rainy afternoon when I want to eat Ramen at my desk but I am not in a rush to go back anytime soon.
