We were in Munich enjoying Oktoberfest, when I developed a craving of lamb and salad. The local food blogs focus on two establishments; Mama's in Schwabing and Kaman. We tried Mama's last time so, on this occasion, we took the S bahn a couple of stops east of the centre. The cafe is situated 200m east of the station exit on the main road. Its appearance is clean and simple. The menu was also reassuringly small. Your choice is either Döner or Lahmacun. The Döner is prepared freshly, in a toasted bun, with a choice of chopped salad with yogurt, garlic and chilli sauces. If you prefer your bread flat, you can have a dürüm. It was delicious and filling for €4 and kept me going throughout most of the day. Kaman is a no frills establishment so please don't come here for a romantic evening.
