This is a most unusual place -- it is a take out restaurant that closes before the time for the evening meal. It has just a couple of stools to sit on. It seems clean & the food quality is good. Indian Vegetarian meals are available and the value is excellent. A glass of delicious Lassi drink costs just $1 -- Chicken Biriyani was $5 for a generous helping. The "chicken" was made from soya protein -- at first, I was reluctant to buy this "ersatz" chicken but the nice lady persuaded me that 'I wouldn't be able to tell it from real chicken ' -- and she was right! Very good. Some pakoras were cooked up for me while we drank the lassi; I never got to try them, because the kids ate them before I was ready to start my meal. So they must be good. It is located on a very noisy street [ train number 7 runs overhead Roosevelt Street with a noise like rolling thunder] which also has lots of Latino food carts in the evening. So if you are too late for Ganpati, you can always get Tacos and Tortas
