When the weather gets cold, I begin looking for asian restaurants that feature a noodles in soup offering. When I was young, the Cantonese chinese restaurants served a wonderful "Yet Ga Mein" dish that made a life long impression. Sadly, with the passing of that style of restaurant complete with lanterns and dragons, Yet Ga Mein seems to have gone by the wayside and I am reduced to making it from Youtube instructions. Sushi & Wok on Kingston Road is located in a small strip plaza. Parking is at a premium and favours smaller cars. Faithful to its' name. Sushi and Wok offers a menu of Japanese and Chinese foods. If you're a lover of either Udon or Soba, and are visiting the east end, this is an excellent place to try. The Nabeyaki Udon is tasty and very filling. In addition, the tempura, either as a main order or with Udon is authentically prepared, crispy, with just the right amount of batter. I have visited several times with my mother and aunt in tow. The restaurant is large enough to accommodate people with walkers, a real plus. Finally, as noted by reviewer GrampaBrian, owners Jennifer and Justin are very welcoming in an unobtrusive way. I can understand why they have built up a faithful clientele over the years; its welcoming place, with good food and reasonable prices. Who could ask for much more? Well done J and J. I hope this review is helpful. Cheers, P.S. Please note, the restaurant name is Sushi & Wok and is misspelled within TripAdvisor. It is listed as Kings Garden, Shushii and Wok. a spelling of a phonetic pronunciation.
