It was only by chance we found the Red Brick Café in Surrey Hills. There is very little advertising on the building and no menu or trading hours displayed. The internet was where we found enough information to organise a casual lunch with a few friends. They have a limited menu with dishes that cover breakfast and lunch options. Each of our selections was a surprise with original presentation, ample quantity, good quality and favours. Service was very friendly and the timing excellent. It was good to find another café that serves coffee exactly as ordered…hot! We get really tired of being told “how coffee should be served”. The Red Brick Café is not large and it could feel a little “tight” for some plus it has the typical new style of hard surface finishes that become very noisy when there are a couple of tables with loud talkers. Parking nearby is easy… We will return but may try to be there between the more popular times for a quieter experience.
