We ate our first and our last meals in Venice at Al Vecio Calice - lunch and dinner. For lunch we each had a pizza and wine. The pizza was good. For dinner, my wife had lasagna that she enjoyed and I had sea bream with grilled vegetables. The restaurant doesn't have carafes of house wine like many other local restaurants do so we split a bottle of wine. The one huge plus is that this restaurant doesn't charge copperto (1 - 3 Euro per person gouge that seems to exist only in Italy) nor seervice charge. The prices at this restaurant are very reasonable, lower than other restaurants in the neighborhood, and the food is very good. The location is excellent on Via Garibaldi with views of the lagoon.
