Because of proximity to Omi's, my wife and I have eaten at Omi's four times, but the fourth visit was the last. The first three visits were ok, nothing special - we are huge sushi fans. We tried one last time this past May 2015. On this fourth visit, the chicken was hard and dry and the sesame sauce was burnt. As well, we never did get a few of the dishes we ordered from their 'all-u-can-eat' menu. Overall, the food was just not up to the quality of the other five sushi places in the east GTA and Durham and neither did Omi have the selection of dishes. Further, we know that Omi did clean up their kitchen, but a decent kitchen shouldn't have to worry about that! That remains the conundrum with eating out. You don't know the condition of ANY restaurant kitchen unless you see it or hear of an inspection so that's the risk of eating out. Judge on what you see, eat and hear. Based on those factors, we have had out last visit to Omi's. Happy Dining!
