We were staying at a hotel located less than 20 metres away from this restaurant, so it was a simple decision after a long day of sightseeing to have dinner here at least once. It specialised in standard Japanese rice or noodle set meals with a range of options including pork cutlet, beef steaks, grilled mackarel or hearty soups. Guests are required to pre-order their meals at a machine located near the entrance, then hand the printed order slip to the waiting staff before getting seated. This initially confused us as we didn't realise we had to insert the bank note first then place the order, not the other way around, and we ended up causing a small queue forming behind us. However, once that was resolved, the eating was easy. The dishes were very reasonably priced and came with free refills of rice which we did take advantage of. And as with most, if not all, Japanese restaurants, you're greeted by the staff in a hearty way and that helps the guests to feel more at home.
