This is a very, very, good chippy. The selection is everything you'd expect from a proper Scottish chip shop. The chips are not overly greasy (do bear in mind that we're talking in relative terms about food that is deep-fried!). The batter is light-to-middling and very crispy on all of the deep-fried delights I've tried from there and their own chippy sauce, very much a feature of Edinburgh chip shops, is a great condiment for the foods being served up. They also do things like chicken pakora and pizzas. I haven't had the oven-baked pizza (yet), and can't really recommend the chicken pakora, as I've had much much better from so many other places. This is a take-away, so take any of my ratings regarding "families" or "special occasions" as neutral or not applicable.
