I discovered La Terrazza during a recent business trip to Rome when I was staying at the Marriott Rome Park Hotel and I'm so glad I did! This quaint restaurant, run by charming and hard working young men, serves authentic Roman cuisine at very reasonable prices. During my first visit there, I was on my own and Marco went out of his way to make we feel welcome and recommended dishes for me to try, as well as a wonderful Sicilian wine to pair with my food. I enjoyed my dining experience so much, I returned to the restaurant four more times during my stay and brought colleagues with me so they could also experience this delightful restaurant. The eggplant first course is not to be missed and all of the pastas were delicious. I never tried the pizzas but my friends said they were outstanding, as well. During my last visit, Chef Davide had prepared a special pasta with eggplant, pork cheeks and ricotta cheese that was out of this world! If you are staying at the Marriott, make a point to go to this neighborhood restaurant. You will not be disappointed and it is exponentially better than the food at the hotel. And even if you're not staying in the area, I would recommend making a trip to visit La Terrazza - it's that good!
