PHO 70 Restaurant Review - 02-25-14 112 Bach Dang Street, Nha Trang Tel: 058.3512.091 GPS Coordinates: N 12º 14’ 28.2”, E 109º 11’ 26.5” (position format degrees, minutes, seconds) We were out for our morning stroll to the local market, cho Xom Moi, before breakfast and found this nondescript pho restaurant. Earlier, we tried Quan 127 but it was only average. PHO 70 was far better, thus the business cared reads; “Since 1958”. Two sisters run the place, which was very clean fitted out with about eight stainless steel tables. They do one thing and one thing only; they make great pho. A diner has two choices, which are beef or chicken. Optionally, you can add an egg to the bowl of pho but that’s it. There’s only one size of bowl, which is large and it will set you back 40,000d. My wife and I both had the beef pho, and there was quite a bit of beef in the bowl, more than any pho restaurant I’ve been to in recent times. It’s served with condiments, such as sauces, chilis, basil, sprouts, and lemon. They are currently not selling pho ga (chicken noodle soup) due to the bird flu scare. While this place doesn’t serve the cheapest bowl around, it would be far more expensive in the tourist area.
