We learned about the Urban Winery and Brewing Company on the hop on hop off tour so we stopped in as a part the city side of the tour. An un assuming store front and location, you could easily miss it from the outside if just walking by. We recommend making it a stop in town, and if you are a local definitely plan a friend meet up here or a weekday after work date. They have flights of local craft beer for tastings, as well as a long list of some good Canadian wine for tastings. Who knew Canada had vineyards and good wine? This business is actually a partnership of three small businesses and in an old historic property. They brew beer there and it definitely has an urban, warehouse, loft feel to it. There is a good looking menu (we did not eat) and the smell was inviting(we had eaten a late lunch and could not eat). Our server was warm, friendly and knowledgeable about the wines, the regions and the beer. It would be great to have this my neighborhood at home. The prices for individual glasses was reasonable - but to take a bottle home would have been pricey. Check out the art in the ladies room! A fun, fresh place, stop in and get to know it.
