We'd been lured to Bongo's by the smell--if you're in the neighborhood, you can't help but notice the fragrance of grilled marinated meat. The eclectically furnished outdoor seating area accommodated the crowd eating Caribbean sandwiches and salads, as well as the second crowd of folks waiting to order. We had two plates and split a side of yucca fries, which were among the best fried things ever. The grilled chili shrimp were perfectly cooked, with a kick of spice. The jerk chicken was tender with a delicious crunchy char. With great food, a bright vibe, and good beer, Bongo's is a welcome addition to the dining scene in the Green Lake area.
