If one has spent any amount of time in unpopulated ares of Greece...you would encounter such a taverna. The restaurant is simply uncomplicated. Service is quiet and easy. The staff is greek and there was an obligatory ya ya in the corner (not a joke either). The presentaion is not fancy by any means...which is what I'd expect in a roadside taverna. The food itself though is really magic. The mixed souvlaki plate with potatoes is highly recommended. They may also have the best tatziki in Germany. The moussaka was also special. It was not perfect...but it was special: there was love in the eggplant. In true greek style...you are greeted with a raki on the house. A kind gesture for certain, but it does not take away from the food in any way.
