This restaurant is very clean and was decorated very nicely. I loved the pictures all along the wall of places in Iran. The menu is extensive and very authentic. There is something for anyone here. I ordered Shirin Polo and it was absolutely delicious! It came with dolmeh (stuffed grape leaves) hummus, and a salad. The man also brought us a plate of fresh herbs (basil and mint) and onion. The dolmeh was the best I've ever had. Usually I don't care for dolmeh. The owner said his mom made it. I wish I had the recipe! The owner was very friendly. They have a vegetarian section that is quite large. I asked if there was butter in the rice and he said there was a chance that when the rice was cooking the cook added butter. I am vegan so I did not want the butter but usually Persian rice calls for oil instead of butter so I just ordered anyway. The shirin polo was amazing. I am going to try and replicate the recipe since I do not live anywhere near this restaurant. I ordered tea after the meal and the owner was very on top of the free tea refills. I loved dining a this restaurant. The food was amazing and carefully made. It was also very authentic. The owner was very friendly. Something that would have added to this experience was if they had some traditional Persian music playing on the speakers. Maybe some santur! I would love to dine at this restaurant next time I am in Seattle.
