We stay in prague every year at the nearby Barcelo on Na Strzi. We eat here at least 2 or 3 times during our stay. The food is excellent and there's lots of it (if you like schnitzel (rizek in Czech),try the A4 !!!) ; the beer (Svijany is superb and very drinkable ; the staff are attentive and happy to explain what is on the menu. We've never tried the daily menu as we are still full from the breakfast at the Barcelo (!),but we are told that it is very popular with workers in local offices. It's about an easy 10 minute walk from the Barcelo. Give it a go and you will find an excellent example of the kind of back-street local that Praguehas been famous for but which is increasingly being replaced by big-brand 'pubs' such as Kolkovna and Potrefena Husa....with their big brand prices. Highly recommended
