We found this hidden delight while walking up Temple Street last night. We had been on our feet since 10am and had walked umpteen kilometres through the most wonderful shopping centres, gardens and street markets. We were tired, thirsty, hungry (and somewhat bedraggled) so we were thrilled to come across this welcoming little restaurant in the back of the Temple Street markets. The staff were so lovely and attended to our need for a quenching drink, almost immediately. Two beers, a glass of Pinot Grigio and a mango lassi! We were then brought a plate of pappadums which were shaped like party hats, and we felt confident that we were in for a gastronomic treat. We were not disappointed. We ordered beef biryani, chicken tikka masala and lamb korma. Each dish was presented beautifully and in a timely manor, and each dish was a taste sensation. The lamb in the korma was as tender as could be, and neither the lamb nor the chicken had sinewy bits in it, which you can experience from time to time at other places. Cost wise it was reasonable, particularly by HK standards and for the quality of the meal. I wish I could guarantee a return to this little gem, but since we no longer live in this fabulous country, I am never sure when or if we will be back. God willing, we will be, and if we are, we would definitely eat here again. I highly recommend it!!!
