Despite being hungry after a local walk, I could not help but delay my entry into the Cafe Coffea via The Squatting Frog Plant Nursery to take a photo of the iconic 'Furphy Water Carrier' situated at the front entrance. Having satisfied my love of history, our group of 10 or so were promptly and politely accommodated in an enclosed 'outdoor' area that was heated and comfortable. Our waitress ensured all orders were taken accurately by repeating them to us and then returned with table water for all. The specials chalk board listed a Thai Green Chicken Curry, that was too difficult for me to pass over, despite several other lunch menu items also competing for my attention. When it arrived on the table the visual presentation was a delight, followed by the aroma of Thai Curry and coriander to tease my senses. The flavours in the dish were all that I could have hoped for, with a good amount of heat in the curry and a flavoursome mix of jasmine rice and coriander. My partner opted for a toasted Pumpkin Focaccia, with rocket, cheese and some other vegetables - very tasty. One other in the party opted for a sweet combination of Carrot Cake and a chocolate sundae. Although the size of the Carrot Cake serve appeared to be a meal in itself, there was some disappointment that the cake was not as moist as preferred. For a 'chocoholic' however, the sundae was superb. My double-shot flat white coffee was hot and strong, completing a very pleasant lunch in a very pleasant local cafe. This is one of those 'cafes in a nursery setting' that not only offers good food, but also the opportunity to stroll through the shop and the nursery if you have the time.
