We're fastly becoming regulars at this restaurant mainly for their really traditional dishes that break away from the South-African-Chinese food you find at most other places. Things like shredded pork with preserved cabbage (similar tasting to kimchi) and sizzling tofu or the mushroom and fungus soup are complete highlights. the menu is pretty extensive so they cater for all tastes. The ladies even warned us when we chose something "very traditional" , fearful it might be too weird for us. But we've grown to love the very traditional dishes so we will keep coming back and trying new things on the menu. The staff and owner(s) are generally very reserved but polite and friendly. The decor is very humble and simple and a bit old-fashioned. However we find the atmosphere very pleasant especially if you sit on the covered balcony with lovely views over an undeveloped hill and the slopes below. They never seem to be busy over weekends which adds to a very quiet and relaxed dining experience. However this restaurant has been there for many years so they must have busy times, we just havent seen it yet! I would recommend this for adventurous couples wanting to taste real traditional Chinese dishes in a quiet setting. The food is generally well priced and on par with other restaurants.
