Sobakiri Masa is a small Japanese Restaurant with a great atmosphere, friendly staff and amazing food. I first discovered this restaurant on Adam Liaw's tv show "Destination Flavour Japan". Chef Masa used to work for Tetsuya in Australia. Soba comes is made with 2 different variations, one with buckwheat and the hulls, the other is without the hulls. The one with hulls has a bit more bite to it and is hands down the best soba i've ever had. As a soba fan this is no small feat. Since both me and my girlfriend couldn't read any of the 3 menu's the waitress was extremely friendly and began translating the entire menu for us, but we stopped her and asked for her recommendation because we wanted to spare her from spending another 15 minutes explaining everything. We also had the tempura which was extremely good. I would recommend this place to anybody. The price is fairly low and the quality of food is fantastic.
