Cerisier happens to be near our apartment, so we use this bistro sometime but mainly for dinner. Chef Shinomiya and his wife run the place. The room is not so large, so reservation is recommended. On the wall, there are several pictures drawn by the chef. The whole interior creates homey atmosphere. Pâté de Campagne Endive, walnut, and blue cheese salad Starters were good, but the strength of this restaurant is meat. Choucroute d'Alsace Cabbage, sausage, bacon, cured pork, goose confit Very generous portion may surprise even European/American big eaters. Andouillette de porc. This dish, always controversial, is loved, or hated, even by French. Scent should be controlled, but how far? This one was relatively “controlled”. Wine selection is decent and interesting. Only beef I have about this place is the counter seats in the back. I once tried, with expectation that I could feel the kitchen. But high wall in front of the seats prevented it. Chef must be a shy person.
