Visited this café for lunch yesterday. It is situated at the tope end of the city so away from the hustle and bustle which is lovely. Great outdoor area on a nice day with views over some lovely old buildings of the city and plenty of indoor space as an alternative. Café was very busy during the peak lunch period but service was very efficient. It is a typical café in that you order at the counter and carry your order to the table yourself but there's nothing wrong with that. All staff behind the counter whether at the coffee/dessert section or at the made to order sandwich section or at the hot food section were friendly and very competent. Meals come with or without salad but choose salad. There is a choice of 5 different, creative, fresh and flavoursome salads. In fact salad could be a meal on its own. I had the cheese and spinach triangle - one of the best I have had and my husband had the homemade sausage roll and it was really tasty with tender but crunchy pastry. Highly recommend this café. It is close to the Peter Mac hospital, Parliament House and some lovely parks.
