66 on Ernest is the training restaurant of Southbank Institute of TAFE. We were there for a group function. The staff are lovely and VERY attentive. Being pupils of various forms of hospitalityntheybare aiming to please and they do just that! The bar is over-staffed in a good way. You never have to wait to place an order and the prices are almost at cost. We had a set menu of Macadamia crusted Reef Fish or Tenderlion of Beef for mains and Sticky Date Pudding or Pomegranate Panna cotta. All dishes were of a very high quality. The only downside was the beef was well-done and not to our taste. Being a training restaurant that is easily forgiven. Our table has already planned another get-together at 66 on Ernest.
