We just ate dinner at the Tin Mine. It was the best meal we have eaten in Thailand. We have just come from koh samui and stayed at amazing 5 star resorts but this buffet was the best for me. Instead of loads of ready made food, there were little stations with a chef at each, freshly cooking what u ordered. There were about 5 different noodle stations with different types - phad Thai, egg noodles, rice noodles with your choice of prawn, chick, beef or squid, all different curries, fresh salad stations chopping it in front of you, excellent green papaya salad! Fresh kebabs on the grill and just a great selection of Thai food. The deserts were very authentic and we loved the sticky rice with mango and deep fried banana as well as the little sorbet sticks. Thai food is one of my favorites and this place is my new favourite. Kids were able to order western food from kids menu.

Our flight has delayed for more than two hours and we figured that Indigo is just nearby so decided to treat ourselves a nice lunch. The quality of the food is good. Staff are generally attentive and helpful. The only thing is there were quite some flies and mosquitoes around. Wish they could do something about it.

The menu in Tin Mine has had an update and has something for everyone. We ate satay with a very spicy sauce and shrimp chowder, lasagne and butter chicken curry, we also tried the burgers. The restaurant remains quiet which is a shame as the service is great and the food reasonable and delicious. The warm bread they serve is yummy, both white and brown rolls and butter hot from the oven. We generally eat here a couple of times every trip when we fancy a change from Thai food and weren't disappointed this time round.

ate here our first night at the Hotel. Food and service was good but restaurant was nearly empty the explanation seems to be the price compared to the beach cafes outside the hotel. The hotel is probably three times what you would pay outside. Many guests seem to eat in the beech cafes this must be frustrating for the hotel who provide a very good environment, food and service but I think they need to consider the price competition if they want more customers in their restraunt.
